-Beau Brooks, who had planned on playing with the Navigators this summer, had his plans take a turn when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Brooks officially signed with the Angels this weekend, becoming the 2nd player on the Navigators roster to leave for the pros after Bobby Lanigan did the same on June 5. The departure of Brooks means that Dan Coury, who had been with the team on a temporary contract, will now stay on the roster on a permanent basis.
-Injury update: Justin Little injured himself yesterday during batting practice (no furthe update yet), and Dan Coury dislocated a finger on a collision at second base. Coury will be out for about a week. With Little out, Sean McNaughton moved into the leadoff spot and responded well, reaching base three times and scoring three runs.
-After drawing just one walk in the season’s opening homestand, the Navs worked six walks last night.
