Pregame Notes: North Shore (2-2) vs. Sanford (2-1)
-LISTEN TO/WATCH THE GAME
-The Navs snapped their two game losing streak in a big way last night, roaring back from a 5-2 deficit to beat these same Sanford Mainers, 7-6. Adam Herter battled through early trouble to get the win, while Chris Prescott impressed again, pitching a 2-inning save.
-Branson Joseph smacked a solo home run off of Herter in the 6th -the Mainers' 2nd homer of the year (Kevin Reimer hit the first on opening night).
-Reimer, Joseph, and Matthew Nandin each had two hits against the Navs last night.

Starting Pitchers

LIVE UPDATES

-9:59 PM: Final: 13-2.

-9:22 PM: The hits keep on coming. A scorched two-run double to center by Belcher makes it 11-2.

-9:20 PM: McNaughton brings in two more with an RBI single - 9-2 Navs.

-9:12 PM: With the bases loaded, Sanford turned to reliever Jeff DeCarlo. Kent Graham greeted him rudely, smacking his first offering up the middle for a base hit. 2 runs came in, making it 7-2 NS.

-8:59 PM: Chris Kowalski pitched a 1-2-3 7th including two punchados. He's looked mighty impressive thus far.

-8:55 PM: The booming sounds of Lil' Wayne signal that Chris Kowalski has come in from the 'pen. DiCato: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER.

-8:51 PM: With the bases loaded, Provencher grounded into a fielder's choice, retiring the runner at 2nd and bringing in a run. 5-2 Navs.

-8:50 PM: The Mainers put up two runs in the top of the 6th, and that's probably all for DiCato.

-8:35 PM: Peter Fatse just made a tumbling catch in left field for the second out here in the top of the 7th. Sportscenter top 10 quality.

-8:28 PM: Kuehl just came as close as anyone has to hitting a homer out of Fraser, but it scraped the wall in left. Zurcher came in to score. 4-0.

-8:25 PM: 3-0 now. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the Navs pulled a double steal. The catcher's throw flew into left field, allowing Fatse to score.

-8:19 PM: A good start to the bottom of the 5th. McNaughton rang a double off the wall and reached 3rd on Fatse's bunt single. He then came home on a wild pitch - 2-0 Navs. Fatse's on 2nd with nobody out and McNaughton at the plate.

-8:14 PM: Kyle Davis of UMass-Lowell in to pitch for Sanford.

-8:13 PM: Backwards K! Inning over!

-8:12 PM: The Mainers have loaded the bases w/ 2 outs for Klint Reed.

-8:02 PM: I wish we had a gun here --- DiCato is throwing some serious smoke.

-7:49 PM: Schmidt worked around a walk and a hit batsman to pitch a scoreless 3rd. Still 1-0, top 4.

The glare is pretty vicious right now.

-7:41 PM: These guys are basketball fans, I'm telling you. A gaggle of 1-2-3 innings, and we're now in the bottom of the 3rd. Still 1-0.

-7:26 PM: A nice 1-2-3 inning for DiCato including striking out 2 looking... 1-0 thru 1 1/2.

-7:22 PM: Kuehl walked, then Zurcher popped out to end the inning. 1-0 after 1

-7:18 PM: With one out, John Hill smacked a sac fly to deep center, scoring a
run to put the Navs on top 1-0. After a successful double steal runners are now on 2nd and 3rd with 2 out and Kuehl up.

-7:14 PM: The first three batters of the inning for NS singled, walked, and got hit by a pitch. Bases loaded, nobody out.

-7:07 PM: After Brooks reached on a walk, Micowski dropped a sac bunt. Inexplicably, Brooks ran to 3rd base on the play; Graham alertly threw to 3rd and retired Brooks for the ole' 2-3-5 double play. The Navs are now batting in the bottom of the 1st.

-7:01 PM: Play ball. Brooks walks to start the game.

-6:57 PM - The teams have been introduced and the Navs are taking the field. It looks like we'll be starting promptly at 7.

-6:48 PM: The Mainers are stretching out on the third base side. It's sunny and warm, but not oppressive like the last few games. Temperature listed as 81 degrees.

-6:24 PM: Bizarre development: a kid is singing Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" over the PA. No announcement or anything, it just kind of started happening.

-6:16 PM: Navs are taking infield practice, and Derek Trent is behind the plate. Interesting.

-6:12 PM: Navs lineup is up. Belcher into the cleanup slot, Graham to 8th. Zurcher in at short stop.

-5:57 PM: The Mainers are finishing up batting practice now. Kevin Reimer hit a few bombs to left field.

-5:33 PM: I have seen many crazy things in my years of attending baseball games at Fraser Field, but this one just might take the cake: I just saw long time Fraser attendee Willy "YANKEEEEEEEEEEEEEETH!" Tenney wearing a Red Sox shirt.

Joshua....it was quite funny. A picture would've been great XD

As for that catch by Fatse in the 7th,it was indeed awesome. And I was impressed with that ball Kuhel almost hit out. If memory serves right it was to one of the deeper parts of the park too (left center)....
