-The Navigators took their first loss in six games last night, falling to the Manchester Silkworms 8-4. Manchester starter Nick Noblit gave up just one run, striking out seven Navigators over six innings.
-Holyoke has been off the last two nights. Their last game was a 1-0, 11-inning loss to Lowell. James White (0-1) gave up a run in the 11th to end the dual shutout.
-The Navs picked up 10 more hits last night, increasing their team batting average to .266, good for 4th in the league.
-North Shore is 5th in pitching, with a 2.66 ERA.
-The Navs are one of only two teams without a home run this season (Manchester).
-North Shore leads the league with 15 stolen bases in 20 attempts (75%).
Pitching Matchup
-Adam Herter (1-0, 3.00) will go for the Navs. Herter's first start was a victory on the road against the Sanford Mainers last Wednesday. In 6 innings of work, he gave up 6 runs, but only 2 were earned.
-Rob Gariano (1-1, 3.97), Holyoke's opening day starter, makes his third start of the year. Opponents are hitting .214 against the Fairfield Univ. sophomore.
