Practice Update - June 3

Earlier this evening the team held its second practice of the season. With just a few days before the season opener, the coaching staff is busy evaluating the team and figuring out their ideal starting lineup.
  • Kyle Geason, who redshirted at Minnesota this past season, was the only player taking grounders at third base.
  • Kent Graham has been getting all the reps at first base, as seems to have the job locked down coming off his D-III championship at Trinity.
  • Mike Provencher starred at shortstop this season at Mesa State (CO), but has been working with the outfielders so far.
Here are a few shots of today's practice, taken by Joe Grav:

While the outfielders work on fly balls, Nick Belcher (SS) and Kyle Geason (3B) field some grounders.
