Graham receives kudos from Lynn Item

Check out this article on Kent Graham written by Steve Krause of the Lynn Daily Item. Graham talks about the NECBL, the change to wood bats (Graham sounded very knowledgeable as to the different swing techniques between wood and metal) and life as a national champion. "It's in trying to stay consistent, going through the ups and downs, you know, not getting too high or low," Graham said. "It's one of the reasons the league is set up the way it is. They try to model it after minor-league baseball ... with pitchers having to take care of their arms, keeping your stamina up ... the constant grind.

"And," he said, "there's a mental toughness aspect, with bus trips every night for away games, eating at strange hours ... you don't have a real pampered lifestyle, that's for sure."

Graham is still basking in the sunset of a national championship.

"It's just starting to sink in," he said. "The guys here have been joking with me, calling me 'champ' and all."
