9:27 PM - Game over - the Dukes hang on to win this one, 4-1.

9:25 PM - Down to the last out

9:22 PM - A passed ball moves McNaughton in to scoring position, eliminating the double play (barring something bizarre).

9:21 PM - McNaughton gets it started with a walk.

9:20 PM - Uh oh. In 14 appearances this year, Anderson has yet to yield an earned run.

9:18 PM - In for the Dukes here in the 9th is closer Zack Anderson.

9:16 PM - Kowalski sets down all three batters by way of the K - two swinging, one looking. Time for a rally.

9:10 PM - Now on the mound, #25 Chris Kowalski

9:09 PM - A quick inning for Sabol, and the Navs are down to their final three outs.

9:07 PM - Jake Sabol in to pitch for Pittsfield - Ness departs after 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits, with 2 Ks and 1 BB.

9:03 PM - Zurcher makes a Jeterian running grab down the third base line to end the top of the 8th.



8:57 PM - Garton swings at the first pitch and hits it hard, but right at the left fielder... inning over. Navs strand 3.

8:54 PM: Graham gets hit by a pitch up and in - the manager is out to argue, claiming that Graham leaned into it. To be honest, he kind of has a case. It's a tough call. Either way, he's had his say, and pinch hitter Joshua Garton - the third new guy signed today, and one we didn't even know about yet - will bat with the bases loaded and 2 outs.

8:52 PM: Johnny Hill keeps the rally going with a successful hit-and-run, putting runners at the corners for Kent Graham.

8:51 PM: The Navs are on the board! Kuehl lines one off the leg of pitcher Mike Ness, reaching first and scoring McNaughton.

8:50 PM: A K by Belcher takes some of the air out of the crowd at Fraser - it's on Kuehl now to bring home McNaughton.

8:48 PM: ADIOS, No Hitter! Sean McNaughton laces a triple to right field, and we're in business here in the 7th.

8:43 PM: Krizan rips an RBI double to score Musso, extending the Pittsfield lead to 4-0.


8:35 PM: Ryan Krull in to pitch for North Shore... the line on DiCato: 6 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 K, 2 BB

8:33 PM: Another quick inning for Ness - is it too early to start talking about a n* h****r?

8:23 PM: DiRicco knocks a base hit up the middle, just out of the reach of the stretching Kuehl, to score two runs

8:22 PM: Pittsfield has loaded the bases with two outs for Dominic DiRicco.

8:09 PM - After just about the fastest inning you'll ever see (5 pitches), we are thru 5 with the Navs down 1-0.

7:56 PM - Solid crowd in attendance tonight, counting the packed party deck. Not Dominican Night level, but definitely one of the bigger crowds of the year.

7:47 PM - Zurcher grounds out to end the inning on a VERY close play at first. 1-0 thru 3 full

7:45 PM - Speed kills, episode 150: Justin Little reaches on a two out fielder's choice, steals 2nd, and breezes in to 3rd on a wild pitch.



7:39 PM - Adams rocks another double to left field, but Krizan gets a little too adventurous on the basepaths , trying to run home from first. The McNaughton - Zurcher - Hill relay is perfect and Krizan is out by a mile. It's still 1-0 thru 2.5

7:36 PM - Krizan makes the Navs pay with an RBI single to left.

7:34 PM - DiCato looked en route to a second consecutive 1-2-3 inning, but Provencher dropped a fly ball to right field by Edmonson; he churns into 2nd base with 2 outs.

7:23 PM - Through 1.5 it's still scoreless. DiCato is looking good so far - good command on his fastball, getting ahead in counts.

7:09 PM - The Dukes put two on in the first, but that's no sweat for DiCato, as he getse Krisan to whiff and Adams to ground out to end the inning.

7:03 PM - Hertler steps into the batters box and we're ready to go.
