7:25 PM: Lowell's making some noise here with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Two runs are in, and with runners on first and second, Falcon is going to closer Chris Prescott.
7:15 PM: Kowalski falls victim to the home plate umpire's generous strike zone, going down looking. Lowell's running out of outs, as Adams is on to pitch the ninth.
7:10 PM: Adams loaded the bases with two infield singles and a walk, but got out of the inning without giving up a run. In the top of the ninth, Chris Kowalski is going to get his third at bat of the season, pinch-hitting for Costello.
7:00 PM: The Navs have a new pitcher here in the bottom of the 8th, Mike Adams. Adams makes his second relief appearance of the year and fifth appearance overall. He's 0-2 with a 7.41 ERA. North Shore has also made a defensive change - Ryan McCrann is into the game playing third, while Kyle Geason has moved to short. Belcher leaves the game after going 1-for-4 with a run scored.
6:59 PM: Szymanski mows down the Navs in order in the top of the 8th.
6:56 PM: Herter gives up a single but retires the side without further damage, this time with the help of another fantastic defensive play by Kuehl. Herter is hangin' out in the bullpen right now, so his day is probably done. Ryan Krull was warming up earlier, we'll see if he comes in.
6:43 PM: Kuehl leads off with a single, Belcher moves him to second, Kuehl steals third and scores on a Graham sac fly to center. No action in the Navs' bullpen at this point. Navs 7, Lowell 2
6:38 PM: Herter retires the side in order again, this time with the help of a diving stab by Graham at first. Lefthander Alex Szymanski is in to pitch for Lowell.
6:33 PM: Geason led off the top of the sixth with a double, but didn't advance any further as the Navs strand two runners.
6:22 PM: We've got an early candidate for web gem of the month! With one out, Kuehl nabbed a line drive off the bat of Daniels with an impressive leap and a full extension, doubling the runner off first to end the inning.
6:15 PM: A pair of singles put Provencher on third and Costello on first with one out. Then Kuehl launched his first dinger in a North Shore uniform - a deep drive to left - to give the Navs a four-run lead. Gormley is out and Jason Kosakow is in for Lowell. Navs 6, Lowell 2
6:04 PM: Herter's settling into a groove, as Lowell goes down 1-2-3 in the fourth.
6:00 PM: Geason popped up a bunt which Baillargen caught and threw to second, doubling off Graham. Then Little flew out to end the rally.
5:55 PM: That's more like it! Back-to-back singles from Kuehl and Belcher, Graham gets hit by a pitch and John Hill drives a single to right. Two runs are in, nobody out. Navs 3, Lowell 2
5:51 PM: Herter sets down the All-Americans in order in the third. Fast-moving game, three innings done in just about 45 minutes.
5:42 PM: And the Navs break through with a line drive single off the bat of Sean McNaughton, sending Little around from second. But Gormley gets Costello swinging for the third out - the Lowell starter's 7th strikeout of the game. Lowell 2, Navs 1
5:40 PM: Little blooped a double down the left field line - his first extra base hit of the season - and Provencher was hit by a pitch. 2 on, 2 out for McNaughton...
5:34 PM: Rouches singled through the hole between short and third, but that's it as Herter retires the side.
5:28 PM: Kuehl, Belcher and Graham down in order in the top of the 2nd.
5:23 PM: Pecora tripled over Provencher's head to bring in McKenna, then Rivers singled him in. But Herter retired the next two batters to prevent further damage. Lowell 2, Navs 0
5:17 PM: McKenna lined a single off Herter's leg, Coach Falcon came out to check on his starter, but Herter appears to be fine.
5:12 PM: Little reached third on a pickoff, but didn't make it home as McNaughton flew out to shallow center and Costello struck out to end the inning. Adam Herter - not Mike DiCato - is on the hill and ready to go.
5:04 PM: And we're off, as Justin Little leads off the game with a walk for the Navs.
