Navs-Torrington game postponed (again)

Because of scheduling conflicts at Fraser, Saturday's early game against Torrington has been postponed once again. It's actually going to be played at Holyoke on July 31 (the last day of the regular season), with the first pitch at 3:oo PM. Presumably, the regularly scheduled game between the Navs and Blue Sox will take place after that, around 6:30 or 7. So that makes 3 games in 2 days at Holyoke, with one of them against Torrington. Quite the way to close out the regular season!

Tomorrow's game against the North Adams SteepleCats will be played at its scheduled time of 5:30.

Isn't there a league wide makeup date on 8/1? Just curious why that wouldn't have worked for the Torrington game. Thanks.

This isn't official, but the team probably doesn't want to play on the 1st unless they absolutely need to, so they have a day of rest before the playoffs get underway.

And since Torrington didn't have a regularly scheduled game on the 31st, and Holyoke is somewhere between here and there, playing the game at that time (3:00 on the 31st) was most effective for both sides.
